When Richard Lee Shinafelt, American Owner and developer, first saw this ranch he knew his search was over, of all the places he had seen in two years of exploring through Mexico, La Polvilla stood out as superior in all of the above elements. It took more than a year to clean the land and supplement it's many tropical fruit trees with temperate fruits and flowers of all kinds. Several excursions were taken to the Hot lands in the south to collect orchids and bromeliads to adorn the hardwood trees and roads on the property.

Such is the paradise Richard has created, a land surrounded by incredible mountain vistas with fresh spring water flowing constantly, Avocado trees, Peach, Apple, Plum, Passion Fruit, Blackberries, roses and more roses, agapanthus, calla lilies, orchids cascading from the trees, etc.

Much time, effort, money and care has gone into making La Polvilla the pristine place it is today. The ranch is continually maintained to optimize the beauty and nurture the abundant flora. The existing buildings on the property are being converted into greenhouses for propagation of orchids, roses and other plants and trees to add to the already lush and colorful environment. It is with great pleasure that Richard tends to these projects and he is pleased to offer the products of these endeavors to buyers so that their property can continually grow and flourish.
